There are 210 species of reptiles recognized in the country of which 126 are endemic. Out of these species, 102 are serpentoid reptiles (snakes) with 49 endemic and the balance 108 are tetrapod reptiles (crocodiles, lizards, skinks geckos etc.) with 76 endemics.
